Margaret Salasidis
'Inspired by the magnificent light and colours of Greece, I began drawing and painting over twenty years ago while living in Athens. Returning to the UK, I took a series of art courses in drawing and painting at Richmond College in London.
I joined an Art Society helping to organize, exhibitions, gallery trips and recruit local artists. At the same time, I rented a studio and began to exhibit locally at the following venues:
The Cross Arts Centre Twickenham
Kew Art Studios
The Fountain Gallery, Hampton
Landmark Arts Centre , Teddington
My work is held by private collectors in Europe and in the U.K. Also, I was commissioned by the NHS to create a series of paintings which hang in a new hospital wing at West Middlesex Hospital.
I recently completed a painting course at The Slade School in London, one of the leading art institutions in the UK.'
