Kristina Kelessidou (Gina L.) was born in Xanthi. She studied commercial studies at the Bristol Polytechnic in England and worked in the private sector.
During the last years she has been living in Thessaloniki where she first studied silk painting and then in England and Barcelona. She is a member of the "Guild of Silk Painters".

She regularly attends seminars abroad on new techniques on silk painting. She also studies silk as a first material as well as the effect of colours in human psychology. She organizes workshops on silk painting and has personal and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

During the last week of July and the first two weeks of August 2009 Christina Kelessidou presented her paintings on silk in the Alonissos Museum. She uses 100% pure white silk and special iron-fixed paints. She also uses many painting techniques, such as Gutta resist outlines, free painting, alcohol technique, etc.
